A Movie by Dan Drasin

Since 1995 Dan has been probing various aspects of the afterlife, including near-death experiences, out-of-body experiences, life-between-lives and reincarnation. Dan's latest projects include a series of documentary films about afterlife research.   At our presentation Dan will show a rough-cut preview of his first one, CALLING EARTH, which explores the history of spirit communication via modern technology: EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) and the broader field of ITC (Instrumental Trans-communication).

What is "Mind-Being"?

Mind-Being is the bridge between our mind (and heart) and our (higher) being. The development of the connection to our true being represents our spiritual journey— this is the Mind-Being connection that creates the awareness of one's higher consciousness.

Newsworthy Highlights

"Everything I know about ESP."

'Russell Targ is a physicist and author who was a pioneer in the development of the laser and laser applications, and was co-founder of the Stanford Research Institute's (SRI) investigation into psychic abilities in the 1970s and 1980s. His work with SRI in what was a new area, called remote viewing, has been widely published. His most recent book is "The Reality of ESP: A Physicist's Proof of Psychic Abilities." In 1976, Targ retired from Lockheed Martin Missiles & Space Co. as a senior staff scientist.

'This talk was part of a daylong program, "Brother, Can You Spare a Paradigm?," on April 14, 2013, at the Vortex Immersion Dome, in Los Angeles. Selected presentations in three parts, and all the individual presentations: vimeo.com/channels/517665.'

"Think Outside The Box"

"In recent weeks a public controversy has emerged over scientific research into the nature of consciousness. It involves IONS scientists, as well as some of our colleagues, and may reflect shifting attitudes about frontier research, so we want to share a little about it with you here.

"TED . . . recently removed videos of two TEDx talks from their official YouTube channel and then cancelled a TEDx event. The censored talks and cancelled event had a common theme -- exploring the possibility that consciousness extends beyond the brain."

"Science Set Free" a book by Rupert Sheldrake

"The 'scientific worldview' is immensely influential because the sciences have been so successful. Their achievements touch all our lives through technologies and through modern medicine.         . . .

Yet in the second decade of the twenty-first century, when science and technology seem to be at the peak of the power, when their influence has spread all over the world and when their triumph seems indisputable, unexpected problems are disrupting the sciences from within.         . . .

In my new book Science Set Free, to be published on September 4, I argue that science is being held back by centuries-old assumptions that have hardened into dogmas."
