One thing I’ve learned from a decade of Instrumental Transcommunication ( ITC ) research (
http://www.worlditc.org ) is that there are many kinds of spiritual influences on our world and on our daily lives. Individuals and groups (associations, companies, families, communities, religions, nations...) attract spiritual influences that resonate with their thoughts, words, actions, and policies. WHEN DECENCY (love, friendship, empathy, respect, trust...) IS THE DRIVING FORCE, then we attract positive and supportive spirit influences into our lives, and the results are healing, order, happiness, and good fortune. WHEN INDECENCY (lies, cheating, greed, fear...) IS THE DRIVING FORCE, then we attract negative, malevolent spirit influences into our lives, and the results are destruction, chaos and suffering.
For 200 years I believe the USA has had mostly decent policies (supporting the UN, taking care of the less fortunate, respecting human rights...), and as a result we have been blessed with happiness and good fortune, thanks largely to powerful, positive spiritual influences that supported our nation. But things have shifted in recent years, especially the past four years. The current Administration and its supporters are involved in the kinds of policies and campaign activities that invariably stir up negative spirit influences and result in destruction (“Swift-Boat” lies about John Kerry being a traitor, frequent “Terror Alerts” intended to blind people with fear and make them easy to manipulate, a military campaign to acquire oil and generate business profits under the guise of “spreading democracy” and “fighting terrorism” . . . )
Regardless of who wins the next four-year Presidency, the US will face the choice between Light (policies that reflect friendship, empathy, respect, and trust in the world) and dark (lying, cheating, greed, and fear- mongering). I believe the latter course will lead our country and the world toward more serious chaos and destruction than humanity has seen in hundreds of years - - since the last Dark Age. The course of Light will lead us toward a slow, probably painful healing. Neither path will be a walk in the garden, but the healing path will certainly have the best long-term results for this world and this nation. A lot depends on American decisions of the next four years, especially the next two months.
