A shaman's mysterious healing practices are a blend of medicine and spirit. The rainforest shamans are experts on the healing properties of the jungle 's rich plant medicines. About the Speaker

Constance Grauds, RPh, MNPA, is President of the Association of Natural Medicine Pharmacists; Faculty at the University of Minnesota , Center for Spirituality and Healing; and Advisory Board member for CIISIntegrative Health Studies. Grauds is also author of the books The Energy Prescription which gives prescriptives for the age-old complaint of fatigue; and Jungle Medicine: From Medicine to Magic, which recounts spirited tales of her 17-year apprenticeship in Peru in Amazonian jungle shamanism. She is Director of the Center for Spirited Medicine; and Executive Director of the Spirited Medicine Alliance, a non-profit dedicated to the conservation of rainforest medicines and indigenous healing practices.

Her passion and life's work is the integration of the spiritual and scientific healing aspects of plants as medicine into today's modern medicine.

Neuromelanin:
The Organizing Molecule of Your Cells - Oct, 11

Our current model of the living cell was developed during the ages of chemistry, and more recently, electricity (ions, membrane potential shifts, nerve conduction, etc.). Yet, the cell operates much in the way that a computer does, with something controlling the cellular activities. Bruce Lipton has convincingly shown that the genetic nucleus of the cell is NOT that entity (it is a blueprint or protein template library), and shows how the cellular membrane ('Mem-Brain') is the original 'silicon chip' that controls input and output through that semi-permeable liquid crystal cellular membrane, the largest organelle In the cell. (Similar to the skin of the body.)

In 1983 Dr. Frank Barr proposed in the "Journal of Medical Hypothesis" that neuromelanin was THE Organizing molecule (or nanoparticle) of the cell, acting as the 'silicon chip' of the cell's interior milieu, 'wirelessly' monitoring the cell and (via what we now know as 'quantum entanglement') being able to effect the activation of the proper genes to produce a needed protein and then, via epigenetic phenomena, to effect further modifications of this protein. While groundbreaking, in an era before the Internet, this information was too ahead of its time for science to appreciate. Now, with the death of the DNA Dogma, the evolution of computers, and the rise of the Internet, it is time to revisit this remarkable hypothesis of how the cell 'really' operates; which is much like a computer, but with a distributed multichip wired and wirelessly interconnected DPU (Distributed Processing Units).

Dr Buchelle"s presentation will review the current 'DNA Dogma," Lipton's 'Cell Mem-Brain' and the death of the DNA Dogma, then how a groundbreaking Theory of Evolutionary Process by Arthur Young (inventor of the Bell Helicopter) led Dr. Barr on a quest that uncovered this overlooked nanoparticle, the 'missing link' in the understanding of cellular living processes.

About the Speaker

Michael Buchele, MD , grew up in rural East Texas, escaped to Austin, Texas for a BA at UT Austin (Major in Microbiology,Minors in Chemistry, and Physics), then went to UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas for his MD. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine. He has worked with the late Arthur M. Young, at the Institute for the Study of Consciousness in Berkeley, and has worked with Frank Barr, MD,, who has applied Young's "Theory of (Evolutionary) Process" to the fields of Biology and Human Evolution (especially the development of the human nervous system).

Long Distance Healing and the
Science of the LIFE FORCE - Nov, 11

In recent years enormous evidence has accumulated that long range "energy healing" occurs, as well as a variety of other effects involving non-local consciousness. Evidence has been collected by the Princeton PEAR Lab and other research programs which prove that an information field exists which penetrates all known barriers, does not weaken with distance, propagates forward and backward in time, and couples to consciousness. In Dr. Swanson's new book, Life Force, the Scientific Basis, he shows that this field is connected to the "chi" or "Qi" energy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and to the "torsion" energy reported by Russian physicists. This new view makes it possible to understand subtle energy concepts such as the "aura" from a scientific perspective.

Dr. Claude Swanson, educated as a physicist at MIT and Princeton University has conducted postgraduate work at Princeton and Cornell University on the design of superconducting plasma containment vessels for fusion energy systems. For the last twenty years, interspersed with his conventional professional career in applied physics, Dr. Swanson has pursued investigations into "unconventional physics." Research into Out-of-Body Experiences and Inner Growth - Jan. 12

The Out-of-Body-Experience (OBE), also known as astral projection, is a natural phenomenon in which the consciousness (soul, spirit) leaves the physical body. The OBE is a completely different phenomenon from either an ordinary dream or a lucid dream. It is a real situation experienced in another dimension. The OBE allows the understanding of the human interrelationship with the invisible, yet real, dimensions of existence that surround us. The mastering of one's vital energies (a.k.a. bioenergies, chi, prana) is the key to conscious, controlled astral projections.

The field of research into OBEs will be presented, as well as several of the research initiatives currently under way and their conclusions. Deepening on the ideas of participative research, consensus-based research, subjective observations and objective conclusions are key towards understanding the research into the subject.

Through his years of energy practice and cultivation, Qigong master Ji Xing Li has developed the theory of multi-dimensional unified universal energy.
